I'm a San Francisco Bay Area-based freelance writer, editor, and author, and the editor-in-chief of Craft Magazine. I've written for a number of magazines and newspapers, including the San Francisco Chronicle, Design for Living, Diablo, San Jose Mercury News, Contra Costa Times, Zagat Travel Guides, Condé Nast Traveler, San Diego, Chicago, Texas Monthly, and San Francisco Examiner, among others, and was a contributing editor at ReadyMade Magazine.

My book, Get a Hobby! 101 All-Consuming Diversions for Every Lifestyle, was published by HarperCollins in May 2007.
